Sony is updating its Xperia J smartphone to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The smartphone available in the market for Rs 14,500 is the only phone from an MNC player at this price Band to get Android Jelly Bean; all the other phones are either based on Android 4.0 or even older Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Sony Xperia Tipo and Xperia E, which are priced less than Xperia E, are the other two phones to get the Android Jelly Bean.
The Xperia J has a 4 inch display with a Resolution of 854×480 pixels and is powered by a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon M7227A Processor and 512 MB RAM.
The device comes with 4 GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot for expandable memory up to 32 GB. The Xperia J features a 5-megapixel Autofocus camera with an LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling too. The device comes with a big 1,750 mAh battery that hopefully offer decent battery backup.
Users would also enjoy listening to music on the Sony Xperia J as it comes loaded with the Sony Walkman application, xLoud audio, and manual equalizer. We expect that with the update Sony Music will also be available on the phone.
