The Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual share the same specifications, except that the later comes with dual SIM support. Sony Xperia E1 will be sold for Rs 9,490 and the Xperia E1 Dual SIM will be sold for Rs 10,490 from March 10 onwards in India.
Sony Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual feature similar set of specifications. Sony has packed 4-inch touchscreen display with 800×480 pixel resolution. These are powered by the dual-core 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile Chipset and have 512 MB RAM which seems like passe. By default, both smartphones run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update with Sony Mobile packed optimizations on top of it.
Sony Xperia E1 and E1 Dual offer a 3 megapixel camera with HD recording at the rear. However, the on-board storage is mere 4 GB but one can always add a micro SD card in the memory slot. Measuring 12 mm thick and weighing 120 grams heavy, the Xperia E1 can support 3G network and offers WiFi support for faster mobile internet experience. There is no front facing camera in the handsets.
The devices come with Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS and GPS with A-GPS as well as GLONASS support. Sony will sell the Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual in Black, White and Purple colour options.
