After almost a break of six months, Sony today launched two attractive smartphones to bolster its position in Indian smartphone market. The first handset, Xperia Aqua M4, is a water and dust proof smartphone while the second handset, Sony Xperia C4 comes without the same. Sony Xperia Aqua M4 will be available for Rs 24,990 from today itself. Sony though has not announced the price of Xperia C4.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, which measures 145.5 x 72.6 x 7.3 mm and weighs 136 grams, is IP65 and IP68 certified for its water and dust proof capability. The smartphone sports a 5 inch display which comes with high definition resolution (720p). The Aqua M4 is based on the Android Lollipop operating system and is powered by the Snapdragon 615 Chipset comprising of a 64 bit octa core processor.
The Sony Xperia Aqua M4 has a 13 megapixel rear auto focus camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has Sony Exmor RS image sensor, SteadyShot video stabilisation technology, image stabiliser, 4X digital zoom, and HDR features. Its 2400 mAh battery claims to offer 13 hours and 17 minutes of talktime.
The smartphone has GPS, AGPS, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5 mm audio jack, DLNA, NFC, GLONASS, Miracast, and WiFi with hotspot functionality. Apart from that the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has 2 GB RAM, 8/16 GB of built in storage and a 128 GB micro SD card slot. The dual SIM Sony Xperia Aqua M4 comes with 4G capability.
Sony Xperia C4
It measures 150.3 x 77.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 147 grams with a 5.5 inch display. This IPS screen has full HD resolution. The Xperia C4 also has the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and it has a 64 bit, 1.7 Ghz Mediatek (MTK6752) octa core processor. The smartphone has a 2600 mAh battery that claims to offer 12 hours and 47 minutes of talktime.
But the highlight of the Sony Xperia C4 is its cameras – it has a 5 megapixel front camera with Exmor R sensor and even a flash light. There is a 13 megapixel auto focus camera in its rear panel as well and it comes with image stabiliser feature.
Besides, the Sony Xperia C4 has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 128 GB micro SD card slot, dual SIM with 4G, GPS, DLNA, NFC, GLONASS, Miracast, and WiFi with hotspot feature.
