Sony Xperia 8 launched with Snapdragon 630 and 12MP dual cameras

Sony Xperia 8 runs on Android Pie and is backed up by 2760mAh Battery with fast charging.

Sony has announced the Sony Xperia 8 smartphone in Japan. The Sony Xperia 8 is priced at 54,000 yen (Rs 35,840 approx.) and it will be available for sale later this month in Japan. The phone comes in Gray, Black, Orange, Blue colour options.

Sony Xperia 8 features a 6-inch Full display with 2560 x 1080 pixels resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio and 6 protection. It is powered by 2.2Ghz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 with Adreno 508 GPU.

The phone has 4GB RAM, 64GB and expandable memory up to 512GB via card. The smartphone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint reader. There is a side sense bar that gives access to the frequently used apps and settings on the device.

For the camera department, the Xperia 8 is equipped with a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with flash, f/1.8 aperture, EIS and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 2x optical zoom. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone runs on Pie and is backed up by 2760mAh Battery with fast charging. Connectivity options are VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C. In addition, the device is waterproof (IPX5 / IPX8), dustproof (IP6X) rated and comes with a 3.5mm jack. The phone measures 158 x 69 x 8.1 mm and weighs 170 grams.
