Sony Xperia 5 launched with triple rear cameras, Snapdragon 855 SoC

For the camera department, the Sony Xperia 5 is equipped with a triple 12-megapixel camera setup on the back.

Sony has announced Sony Xperia 5 smartphone at IFA 2019 in Berlin. The Sony Xperia 5 is priced at £699 (Rs 61,990 approx.) and will roll out in various countries from October 2019. Pre-orders will begin from 18th September in UK. The phone will be available in Black, Red, Blue, and Grey colour options.

Sony Xperia 5 features 6.1-inch OLED HDR Display with 21:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution, DCI-P3 100%, 6 protection. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a notch-less display screen. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It has 6GB RAM, 128GB and expandable memory up to 512GB via card.

For the camera department, the Xperia 5 is equipped with a triple 12-megapixel camera setup on the back. The first sensor will feature 26mm focal length with f/1.6 aperture, and Hybrid OIS/EIS for video stabilization. The second sensor comes with an ultra-wide lens, 16mm focal length, f/2.4 aperture, and 5-axis image stabilization. The third sensor features a telephoto lens with 52mm focal length, f/2.4 aperture, Hybrid OIS/EIS, 2x optical zoom, 960 Super slow motion.

For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, 84° lens. The phone runs on Pie and is backed up by 3140mAh Battery with Xperia Adaptive Charging technology.

Connectivity options are VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, 3.1 Type-C. The phone measures 158 x 68 x 8.2mm and weighs 164 grams.
