As reported by The Mobile Indian earlier, Sony has launched its second and the most anticipated Sony Tablet P in India. Sony was earlier expected to bring the device mid January itself.
The Sony tablet P is now available from Sony retail stores along with all major electronics outlets across the nation. The tablet is also available through a number of online retail store including Flipkart and Ebay India.
The Sony P tablet has a folding tablet design similar to that of a Clamshell based phone, but is a bit bigger. The clamshell design has been added to make the device portable and much easier to carry than tablets based on conventional design. The device opens up to make a full fledged tablet featuring dual 5.5 inch display. Under the hood this tablet houses a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile Processor running on Google Android Honeycomb operating system. This tablet has a 5 megapixel camera at the back and 0.3 megapixel camera in the front. Tablet P also boasts a customised interface that allows use of both screens combined and individually. Sony will also issue the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for its Tablet P and Tablet S soon.
The price of the device with both 3G and WiFi connectivity has been kept at Rs 36,990 and it is only available in a 4 GB variant. But the bigger relief is the inclusion of a micro SD card slot which allows users to expand the memory of the tablet to up to addition 32 GB.
