Sony has added a new member to its compact camera series with the launch of Sony RXO II camera in India. The compact camera comes with a price tag of Rs 57,990 and it will be available from Sony Center, Alpha Flagship stores, Sony authorised dealers and other retail stores across the country starting from July 15.
The latest camera from Sony comes loaded with a host of interesting features. The device features a rugged design and it is waterproof, dustproof, shockproof (up to 2 metres) and crushproof (up to 200kg force). It features a 1.0-type stacked 15.3-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor along with Bionz X image processing engine that provides better colour reproduction.
The camera comes with a Zeiss Tessar T 24mm F4.0 Wide-Angle lens which has a short minimum focus distance of 20cm, meaning it could be used for taking selfies. It comes with an ISO sensitivity range of ISO80 to ISO12800. The device can shoot videos at up to 4K 30fps. It also features in-body electronic stabilisation and it also supports super slow-motion at up to 100fps.
It features a tiltable screen, which can be rotated up to 180-degrees. There’s an S-Log2 that offers flexibility when post-processing. The camera features built-in Wi-Fi and Sony allows a user to wirelessly control five of the same cameras from the Imaging EDGE mobile app. The camera measures at 59mm x 40.5mm x 35mm and weighs in at a total of 132 grams.
