After launching a range of mid range smartphones, Sony is now aiming high and is working on a top end smartphone that would give a tough competition to the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III, according to a report.
“In the near future, we’ll finish a flagship model, which will be able to compete with Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S III,” said Dennis van Schie, vice president, head of sales and marketing for Sony Mobile Communications to the Financial Times Deutschland.
But that’s not all as another spokesperson of Sony has also suggested that this flagship model would be available on display at Consumer Electronic Show which is to be held in Las Vegas and at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, both of which are going to take place next year.
Few days ago, reports also mentioned that Sony has readied a smartphone called Xperia Yuga with a powerful features like a Qualcomm Quad core Krait CPU, full HD 1080p display and a 13 Megapixel camera for best in line imagery as well.
Meanwhile, Apple too is rumoured to have been ready with another iPhone, called iPhone 5S.
