Sony today announced the launch its latest flagships, the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium, in India. The Xperia Z5 Premium is priced at Rs 62,990 and will be available November 7; you can pre-book the phone from October 25 to November 4. The Sony Xperia Z5 has a price tag of Rs 52,990 and it will be available in the market from October 23 (this Friday).
The Z5 comes in gold, green and black colours while the Z5 Premium is offered in India in gold and Chrome colours. Both Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium, come with a Sony Quick Charger (UCH10) which, as claimed, enables 5.5 hours usage with just 10 minutes of charging.
Both the phones are 4G smartphones and have DLNA, Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0 port, NFC, WiFi, and AGPS. All the phones are water and dust proof as well and come with the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is the first smartphone of the world to feature a 4K resolution based display. While the Z5 Premium has a 5.5 inch display, the Z5 offers a 5 inch screen and the Z5 Compact has a smaller 4.6 inch display. All the three Xperia Z5 series smartphones have 23 megapixel sensor with Sony’s brand new large 1/2.3 Exmor RS and F2.0 G Lens. Sony claims that it can capture images in just 0.03 seconds which is faster than the blink of human eye (average 0.1 to 0.4 secs). The series also features Sony’s SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode for shake free videos. The smartphones also come with 5 megapixel front camera that also comes with Sony sensor and 25mm wide lens.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the powerful 64 bit Snapdragon 810 octa core processor that runs this Android 5.1 Lollipop based smartphone with the help of 3 GB RAM. It has 32 GB internal storage and an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 200 GB. Unlike regular flagship smartphones, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has dual SIM. This smartphone also promises two days of battery life with its 3430 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia Z5 has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB inbuilt storage, 200 GB micro SD card slot, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, and a 64 bit Snapdragon 810 octa core processor. The Sony Xperia Z5 offers a 5.2 inch full HD Triluminous display and comes with a 2900 mAh battery that claims to offer 2 days of battery back up. This handset (dimension 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm) weighs 154 grams.
The Z5 also offers high resolution audio, digital noise cancelling, Clear Audio+ and DSEE HX audio technology and FM radio as well.
