Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V launches with GTalk

Sony Ericsson has also announced the release of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update for Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia pro and Xperia Neo smartphones.

Sony Ericsson has announced yet another smartphone &#151 Xperia Neo V, which becomes the first Xperia smartphone to have Google Talk with video chat, 3D Sweep Panorama and Facebook inside Xperia pre-loaded.

The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V smartphone comes with a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen supporting FWVGA (480×854) pixel resolution. It is a scratch resistant Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology that provides better imaging and video playback. The new Xperia Neo V houses a single-core 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon that is powerful enough for the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread running on it.

Obviously with a front facing camera, the Neo V has a 5 camera with flash, and 16x support. One can also make use of the 3D Sweep Panorama feature to shoot some cool panorama imagery in 3D. The back panel camera is also capable of recording video a 720p resolution. The phone also offers a TV Out (HDMI) support to connect it with an HD display.

Packing a 1500mAh battery, the new Xperia Neo V smartphone offers about 7 hours of on 2G and 3G, with music listening time of 31 hours and video playback time of up to 7.5 hours. Sony Ericsson has not announced price of the handset and promised to make it available sometime later this year.

Sony Ericsson has also announced the release of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update for 2011 Xperia devices including Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia Pro and Xperia Neo smartphones.

These updates will start rolling out in October in select markets only.
