After a bunch of rumours of a high-end flagship device, Nokia has finally confirmed that it is indeed working on a flagship smartphone boasting the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. In a query put up by a user on the Chinese website, Weibo, Nokia China hinted that they are working on a smartphone powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC. We are not really sure about the device as of now, however, it is highly likely that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor powers the recently rumoured Nokia P1. Moreover, HMD Global is rumoured to unveil some new Nokia branded smartphones at the MWC 2016 so we will get a clearer picture as we move along the month of February.
Apart from this, the company also indicated the possibility of landing on the Windows platform again. So don’t be surprised if we see yet another Nokia branded Windows smartphone coming our way in near future.

Coming back to the Nokia P1, the device is rumoured to come with a 5.3-inch Sharp IGZO 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass Glass 5 protection. The display is expected to come with either Full HD or QHD resolution. The smartphone is rumoured to be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, which will be clubbed with 6 GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the smartphone is expected to offer a22.6-megapixel camera with Zeiss certification and dual-tone LED Flash. The smartphone will be backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery with Fast charging support. The smartphone is also said to house an ultrasonic fingerprint reader on the right end side of the smartphone and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. Further, the Nokia P1 will have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. As for the launch, nothing has been out from an authentic source as yet and we don’t really know if the smartphone will ever land out of China as the recently launched Nokia 6 is still available in China only as of now.
Talking about the Nokia 6, the device recently went out of stock in one minute for its first flash sale which took place on January 19th, 2017. Nokia 6 is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs 16,700) and is expected to hit the Indian shores soon.

Talking about the specifications, Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button.
On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 Aperture for selfies and video calling. The Nokia 6 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, OTG support, Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers, and Dolby Atmos.
