Micromax, Samsung, Lenovo and Meizu stole the limelight this week with their mid range offerings.

Not every week so many lucrative smartphones get launched in Indian market. But this week was one of the few such weeks. This week we saw few noted devices that too from most loved brands like Lenovo, Samsung, Micromax etc.

Here we have listed all the smartphones and accessories which were launched in India this week.

Micromax Canvas XP 4G

The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,499. The Micromax Canvas XP 4G has a 5-inch (1280×720p) display. It is powered by a 1GHz quad core processor, which is clubbed with 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Lollipop 5.1 operating system. It sports an 8-megapixel shooter with flash light and a 2-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Samsung J5 (2016)

Priced at Rs 13,990, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core 64 bit processor and 2 RAM. The J5 (2016) has 16GB of internal storage and 64 GB expandable memory. The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and is backed by a 3100 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front. Besides this, the smartphone offers 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, NFC and a port. The phone measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 159 grams. It comes in White, Gold and Pink Gold colours.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016)

On the other hand, The Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by 1.6 GHz octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 128GB via a micro SD card. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and packs in a 3,300 mAh battery.

Like Galaxy J5 (2016) , Galaxy J7 (2016) also has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. This dual smartphone also offers 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi, NFC 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port. The J7 measures 151.7 × 75.9 × 7.8 mm and weights 170 grams. The Galaxy J7 (2016) also comes in white, gold and pink gold colours.

It has a price tag of Rs 15,990.

Intex Cloud Fame

This smartphone is priced at Rs 3,999 and comes with a rubber finish back panel and is available in chocolate brown and dark blue colours. The Cloud Fame will be exclusively available through Snapdeal.

The Intex Cloud Fame features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) display with 3 protection. It has a 1 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, which is clubbed with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and expandable up-to 32GB via card. The smartphone runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The Cloud Fame gets its power from an 1800 mAh Li-on battery, which claims to offers a talk-time up-to 7 hours along with a of up-to 10 days. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front camera to click selfies with various modes.

Further, the device offers Dual SIM, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a MicroUSB port and Matrabhasha service that enables communication in 21 regional languages including Hindi. The device also comes with multiple navigation features such as gesture controls, flip to mute, smart wake and emergency rescue. The handset measures 134.2 x 68 x 9 mm and weighing around 120 grams.

Lenovo ZUK Z1

This was the most noted device to be launched this week. This Cyanogen OS 12.1 based smartphone comes in white and grey colour variants and will be available at Rs 13,499. The smartphone will be available via flash sales on Amazon.in. Registrations for the first sale start on 10th may at 1 PM. The first sale is scheduled for 19th May at 2PM.

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 has 64GB of inbuilt storage and is backed by a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor along with 3 GB RAM. The ZUK Z1 comes equipped with USB 3.0 Type C port with reversible plugin design which claims to support transfer speed of up to 5 Gbit/s.

The phone has a 5.5 inch display that has full HD resolution, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 450 Nits brightness. On the rear panel, the phone comes with a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, and dual LED flash and the selfie camera is an 8 megapixel.

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 has a 4100 mAh battery and has intelligent cut off feature that switches intelligently to the power source instead of using the phone’s battery once the battery is charged fully. As per Lenovo, this feature saves the battery from degrading and makes it run for long. The ZUK Z1 comes with an inbuilt 360° fingerprint reader button that has a 508 DPI high capacitive sensor. This fingerprint scanner can be used to lock the phone and for multitasks too.

Besides, this dual SIM smartphone has connectivity options like 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, fingerprint scanner, and WiFi. The Zuk Z1 smartphone measures 155.7 x 77.3 x 8.9mm and weighs 175 grams. Its body is said to be made in aircraft-grade aluminum metal frame.

Meizu M3 Note

The Meizu M3 Note got launched at Rs 9,999 this week and is available exclusively on Amazon India. The M3 Note comes in Grey, Silver and Gold colour variants.

Meizu M3 Note has a metal unibody build and features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with of 403 ppi. It is powered by the Helio P10 (MT6755M) octa core processor, which is paired with Mali T860 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and option expand up-to 128GB via microSD.

It also comes with fingerprint scanner that is built into its physical home button which as per company can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. The dual SIM Meizu M3 Note has Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and has Flyme OS 5.1 custom user interface on top. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel camera in the rear with dual tone LED flash lights and a 5-megapixel snapper on the front panel. The device is backed up by good 4100mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE along with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/A-GPS.

LYF Flame 2, Wind 4

LYF formally launched two affordable 4G smartphones, the LYF Flame 2 and LYF Wind 4, earlier this week. The Flame 2 is priced at Rs 4,799, whereas Wind 4 cost Rs 6,799.

On the other hand, the LYF Wind 4 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm SnapDragon 210 (MSM8909) processor, which is clubbed with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU. It has the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 operating system, 8GB internal storage and even a 128GB expandable storage facility.

The Wind 4 is backed up by a huge 4000 mAh Lithium-ion battery, which claims to offer up-to 28 hours of talktime and up-to 630 hours of standby time on 4G network. The handset sports an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera. The camera features include 1/4″ colour CMOS image sensor, Face detection, Continuous shot, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Touch to focus, and Panorama. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G/LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Calling, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. include Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, and Proximity Sensor. The handset measures 144mmx72mmx8.9 mm and weighs 146 grams. The device comes in three colours- Black, Blue, and Brown.

Pebble smartwatches

Pebble entered the Indian market earlier this week with four smartwatches – Pebble Classic, Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel & Pebble Time Round. The range of smartwatches will be exclusively available on Amazon.in from May 12th 2016 onwards along with Cash on Delivery option. The range starts from Rs 5,999 for Classic, Rs 9,999 for Pebble Time, Rs 13,599 for Pebble Time Round & Rs 15,999 for Pebble Time Steel.

Intex announced two smartwatches – iRist Junior and iRist Pro – this week. The Intex iRist Junior has been priced at Rs 3,999 but the company has not revealed the price of iRist Pro.

The Intex iRist Junior comes in blue, yellow, orange and green colours. It has a 0.96 inch TFT display that has 128×64 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Mediatek 6261A processor and 4 of RAM. There is 16 MB of memory in the smartwatch.

The Intex iRist Junior also comes with WiFi, and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity. The watch is water resistant and has a 600 mAh battery that claims to offer 180 to 240 hours of talktime. As per Intex, it would be compatible with both Android and devices.

On the other hand, the Intex iRist Pro has Mediatek MT2502 processor and Bluetooth 4.0. It too is compatible with Android and iOS devices and is water resistant.
