Sarthak Music now on Indiatimes

Indiatimes has acquired the internet and mobile rights of more than 10,000 Oriya film and devotional tracks.

Indiatimes 58888, the content service division of Times Group, has acquired world wide exclusive mobile and internet rights of Sarthak Music.

Sarthak music is Orissa’s largest regional music label with a catalogue size of over 10,000 film and devotional tracks.

Indiatimes will provide services like caller ring back tone, SMS, STK(application that sit on your SIM), IVR (interactive voice response), mobile radio on 2G and services, content embedding, internet streaming and downloads, using these songs.

TIL chief executive officer Rishi Khiani said, “Regional Music is our focus area and acquiring Sarthak Music rights is a perfect way to strengthen our digital catalogue. This also brings us closer to Operators in the region to develop innovative music products and services.”

Indiatimes is one of the largest content aggregator in the country and has strong distribution network, this will help them bring Oriya music closer to people through many different ways.
