WD owned SanDisk today announced a couple of interesting storage devices for mobile phones – a 256 GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Premium Edition card and a Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 pen-drive with a USB 3.0 port and a Micro-USB port.
The 256 GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card will be available starting December 2016 exclusively on Amazon India at a price of Rs 13,390. The Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Premium edition card allows you to expand your mobile device’s internal storage for excess media consumption. One can record up to 24 hours of full-HD video and store huge amounts of high-quality content without any fear of that irritating low storage warning. This microSD card is also said to be waterproof, shockproof, temperature proof and x-ray proof with transfer speeds of up to 95 Mbps.
On the other hand, the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 is basically for easy transfer of files from PC to a device which supports USB O-T-G (On The Go). One can use this pen drive with both a PC using USB 3.0 or an Android device supporting USB OTG using Micro USB port.
The Dual Pen-drive comes with a range of storage options from 16 GB to 128 GB with transfer speeds of up to 150 Mbps via USB 3.0 connector. The drive will be Flipkart exclusive with a price starting at Rs 650 for 16GB to Rs 3,600 for 128GB.
Both the storage devices come with a five year warranty and later on it will be available on other online websites as well. Further, for storing or backing up the content, one can also use SanDisk’s free memory zone app. As of now, not a lot of options are there for 256GB Memory card in India so soon one can fully exploit the expandable storage on their smartphones. Currently, a 256GB memory card from Samsung is available on Flipkart for Rs 10,499 after a discount of 25% on the original price of Rs 13,999.
