Samsung Z2 Tizen launching in India for Rs 4,499: Report

Samsung Z2 is also rumored to come with Jio Preview offer for 90-days.

Samsung is expected to launch its latest Galaxy Note 7 in India on August 11. Now a report has claimed that Samsung’s Z2 Tizen will also be launched in India on the same date.

As per the report, of PhoneHorn, Samsung Z2 will be launched in India at Rs 4,499 in Black and White colors. The phone is rumored to come with Jio Preview offer. Under this offer, users of the Samsung phone will be eligible to get unlimited data, voice and texting facility as well as unlimited access to Jio Apps Suite for 90 days. Note that the Reliance Jio Preview offer reportedly is already available for certain Samsung phones.
Samsung Z2
As per earlier reports, the Samsung Z2 will be launched in markets across Africa and Southeast Asia including India, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria.

Samsung Z2 was spotted earlier with model number SM-Z200F. It is rumoured to have a a 4-inch AMOLED display; there is no information about its display resolution. The phone reportedly has a quad core processor, 1GB of RAM, Tizen 3.0 and 2,000 battery with a design that’s similar to the previous Tizen phone. It was recently photographed during Note 7’s launch event with Indian applications – Jabong, Indiatimes, and OLX.

This is the fourth Samsung Tizen smartphone after Samsung Z, Samsung Z1 and Samsung Z3. Based on Linux, the Tizen has the backing of many organisations, especially Samsung and Intel, who want to create an alternate open operating system like the Android.

The initial build of Tizen was released in January 2012 but after that very few devices came with the OS. Samsung’s wearables are also based on the Tizen platform.
