Samsung has announced the roll out of the Android Pie update for Galaxy M series of smartphones which includes Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. All these smartphones run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Samsung Experience 9.5.
The update will bring important improvements and security patches to the Galaxy M series. The update roll-out will be effective from June 3, 2019.
The UI features will bring new gesture controls, refined notifications and Quick Settings,vertical volume controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations and new power menu among others.
Samsung Galaxy M30 is priced at Rs 17,990 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant, while the 4 GB RAM+64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,990. Galaxy M30 features a 6.38-inch Full HD+ infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. The phone is backed up by a 5000mAh battery with fast charging. It has a triple rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel resolution with f/1.9 aperture, a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 Aperture and a 5-megapixel third sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Samsung Galaxy M20 is priced at Rs 11,990 for the 4GB+64GB variant, while the 3GB +32GB variant is priced at Rs 9,990. It features a 6.3-inch FHD+ infinity-V display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos 7904 octa-core processor. It features a 5000 mAh battery and a dual rear camera, with ultra-wide feature. It comes with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP ultra-wide feature. There is a 8-megapixel front camera in Galaxy M20.
Samsung Galaxy M10 is priced at Rs 8,990 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs 7,990 for the 2GB+16GB. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ infinity-V display and is powered by Exynos 7870 octa-core processor. It comes with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP ultra-wide feature. There is a 5-megapixel front camera present in the device. Galaxy M10 comes with 3400mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Samsung has reportedly started rolling out a new update to its Galaxy S10 series that improves the Night mode performance. The update is currently rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e.
The update is currently rolling out in Switzerland and there is no information whether the new update will reach to other markets sooner or later. The update also brings May 2019 security patch as well, reports Sammobile. The update has been rolled out after many complaints from Galaxy S10 customers pointing out that the camera performance in Night Mode wasn’t that great. The report highlights that the update adds use of ultra-wide camera for taking Night Shot. The Night Mode is now able to suppress the noises better with the latest update.
