After launching the A5 and A7 (2017) in India and the Galaxy S8 globally, Samsung has something to show us today. The companyrecently sent out invites which read – ‘Lean is the New Mean’ which going by the name suggests something super slim. The invite didn’t reveal anything apart from this tagline, making us wonder if it will be a smartphone or something from another domain. If we go by the thickness, Samsung’s Galaxy C5 Pro or C7 Pro looks to be on cards as both the devices are only 7 mm thick. Earlier this year, the South Korean giant rolled out its Galaxy C9 Pro via offline channels and has been one of the solid players in the price range of Rs 35,000.
Coming back to the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro, both these smartphones are essentiallyyounger siblings of the massive 6-inch C9 Pro. As for the launch, the C5 Pro recently took off its curtains in March in China so the possibility of Samsung launching the C5 Pro in India today is not that high. Shifting our focus to the possible launch i.e. the C7 Pro, it offers a 5.7-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Display andis powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The handset has 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, 256GB expandable memory slot, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The device also features a front-facing fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the physical home button. Moreover, the Galaxy C7 Pro has Samsung’s Always-On display and supports Samsung Pay.
In the camera department, the Galaxy C7 Pro flaunts a 16-megapixel shooter on the back and a 16-megapixel camera at the front with f/1.9 aperture. Both the cameras can record full-HD videos at 30 frames per second. On the connectivity front, the device offers hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The handset measures 156.5 x 77.2 x 7.0 mm and weighs 172 grams.
