After Samsung confirmed the launch the 2017 lineup of it’s A series yesterday, the South Korean giant has now revealed that the devices will be launched on January 5, 2017. Samsung Malaysia has started sending out the press invites for the launch of its new Galaxy A series smartphones which include the Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017).
“This year, ring in a new wave of adventures and accomplishments to look forward to. Whether you live on the edge, or bask in spontaneous moments, embrace it and Live Unplanned,” reads the invite.
Although the invite is only specific to Malaysia, it is believed that the company will also launch the Galaxy A series during CES 2017, which kick starts from January 5 in Newada, Las Vegas.
In other news, the press renders of the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A3 (2017) has been leaked online ahead of official launch. The press renders show the fronts and rears of both the devices. Both the devices look similar and resemble company’s flagship device, the Galaxy S7. Further, the whole lineup is touted to be Water-resistant and could sport a glass body. However, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017) varies in sizes, as the former comes with a 5.2-inch display, while the latter sports a 4.7-inch display.
If we go by previous rumours, the Galaxy A3 is said to sport a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display, a 1.59GHz Octa-Core Samsung’s Exynos 7870 processor, ARM Mali-T830 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the device is believed to offer a 12-megapixel Autofocus rear camera that comes with face-detection and LED flashlight, whereas at the front, it will have an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. Lastly, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a 2550mAh battery and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Galaxy A5 (2017), on the other hand, is touted to sport a 5.2-inch Full HD display and will be powered by a 1.87 GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7880 processor. The smartphone could be backed by a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There would be a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Coming to the A7 (2017), the device is expected to come with a 5.7 inch Super-AMOLED Full HD display. On the inside, it is likely to be powered by a Samsung’s Exynos 7880 Octa-Core Chipset with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which will be expandable via microSD card. Comparatively, Galaxy A7 (2016) came with 5.5 inch 1080p display. Moreover, another rumour suggests that the 2017 Galaxy A7 will come with a 16-megapixel front camera with f/1.9 Aperture coupled with a 16-megapixel rear facing camera. It is likely to come with USB Type-C port, a 3600mAh battery and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
