Samsung Galaxy A series has been one of the most talked about Galaxy series in recent times with the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017) tipped to launch some time in mid-January. To put end to most of the rumours, Samsung has now confirmed that it will introduce the entire A series, which includes Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017), at the CES 2017.
Further, based on the company’s Malaysia’s teaser, the upcoming Galaxy A series is also expected to come with Water-resistant functionality.
Recollecting the previous rumours, The Galaxy A3 is said to sport a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display, a 1.59GHz Octa-Core Samsung’s Exynos 7870 processor, ARM Mali-T830 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the device is believed to offer a 12-megapixel Autofocus rear camera that comes with face-detection and LED flashlight, whereas at the front, it will have an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. Lastly, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a 2550mAh battery and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Further, the Galaxy A5 (2017), on the other hand, is touted to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and will be powered by a 1.87 GHz Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 7880 processor. The smartphone could be backed by a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There would be a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 3000 mAh battery. Sadly, similar to the A3 (2017) the Galaxy A5 (2017) will also run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is surprising as by then the latest Android Nougat would be about 5 months old.
Coming to the A7 (2017), the device is expected to come with a 5.7 inch Super-AMOLED Full HD display. On the inside, it is likely to be powered by a Samsung’s Exynos 7880 Octa-Core Chipset with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which will be expandable via microSD card. Comparatively, Galaxy A7 (2016) came with 5.5 inch 1080p display. Moreover, another rumour suggests that the 2017 Galaxy A7 will come with a 16-megapixel front camera with f/1.9 Aperture coupled with a 16-megapixel rear facing camera. In all probability, the South Korean giant is likely to include the same camera module as it is in Galaxy C9 Pro.
Moreover, it is likely to come with USB Type-C port, a 3600 mAh battery and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
