Samsung resumes Note 7 sales in Korea, India launch to happen ahead of Diwali

To differentiate the new Note 7, Samsung has implemented some changes, one of them being the green battery indicator.

After all the chaos pertaining to the global recall of Note 7, Samsung has finally resumed the sales of the safe Note 7 from October 1 in South Korea. Further on 30th September, Samsung even opened several Galaxy Note 7 experience zones across Korea which allowed people to yet again witness the Note 7’s top notch performance and features.

To differentiate the new Note 7, Samsung has implemented some changes, one of them being the green battery indicator. The new safe Note 7 devices as claimed by Samsung will have green battery indicators. Recently, the company also released an update after which if your Note 7’s battery turned green would mean that your Note 7 is safe and probably doesn’t require replacement. We say probably because even after replacement and the green battery indicator, People are still reporting of explosions. Other software changes include the Always On Display screen and the Power Off screen which can be accessed by long-pressing the power key.

Today, Samsung has further claimed that more than 1 million people across the globe are already using the new Galaxy Note 7.

In China though, Samsung claimed that the Note 7 sold in the country were safe explaining that the batteries in Note 7’s sold in China were identical but were supplied from a different supplier. “Currently, the brand new Note 7 products that have been swapped in overseas markets are using identical batteries to those that were supplied and used for the Chinese version,” – claimed Samsung.

Last week, the company reported that over 60 per cent of Note 7 have already been replaced in US and South Korea. While, in Singapore, it has managed to replace over 80 per cent of the devices. In India though, Samsung is all set to launch the new Note 7 ahead of Diwali which might be the perfect time to launch a flagship. Last week, rumours claimed that Samsung might delay the launch beyond Diwali. Nevertheless, Samsung would still face tough competition as Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will launch this Friday in India. Moreover, Samsung would already have missed a great amount of sales given the festive season sale happening on all the major e-commerce websites these days.
