In a bid to revive the fortunes of Note 7, Samsung has decided to offer Galaxy VR headset for free to all those who have pre-ordered the phone in India. Additionally, Samsung is also offering an Oculus content voucher worth Rs 3,300.
Samsung has delayed the launch of Note 7 in India following the discovery of a manufacturing defect in the phone. The company had also recalled a lot of Note 7 units all around the world. In India fortunately only the pre-orders were received and the actual launch was delayed to September 2. But, now when the company further postponed the launch.
At the time of pre-orders, Samsung was offering the Gear VR headset for Rs 1,990 which was still a lot cheaper than the price of Rs 7,290 which one has to pay in order to buy the accessory separately. But to compensate the further delay, Samsung is offering free Gear VR headset and Oculus voucher for all those who pre-ordered the Note 7 in India irrespective of whether they ordered the Gear VR or not.
So if you are one of those who pre-ordered the Galaxy Note 7 then you are eligible to get the VR headset for free.

In the other news, some airlines in Australia and FAA in U.S. has warned is passengers not to use or charge their Galaxy Note 7 on board. In another news, one user claimed that his Galaxy Note 7 reportedly set fire his Jeep.
While Samsung is doing all it can, this issue has finally taken a toll and is really affecting the company’s share price and credibility.
