Broadcom Corporation, a US-based semiconductor company for wired and wireless communications, has announced that it will provide navigation, location based services and Bluetooth functionality for Samsung’s new handsets.
The Broadcom BCM2075 combo chip integrates three radios – Bluetooth, GPS and FM – and allows these radios to operate simultaneously, and with minimal interference. The combo chip solution is now available in several handsets in the market.
The new Samsung handsets that integrate the Broadcom combo chip include the Blue Earth (GT-S7550) handset, as well as the Corby Pro (GT-B5310).
