Along with the launch of Galaxy Tab S6, Samsung has also launched Galaxy Watch Active 2 in India. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 comesone screen size in India – 44mm which further comes in Aluminium and Stainless Steel case variants priced at Rs 26,990 and Rs 31,990. Samsung Watch Active 2Steel comes in Silver, Black and Gold finishes, whereas the Watch Active 2 Aluminum comes in Black, Rose Gold and Cloud Silver finish.
The company has also launched Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE. This smartwatch from Samsung comes in two versions: 46mm and 42mm options priced at Rs 30,990 and Rs 28,490 respectively.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Watch LTE will be available for sale in India starting October 11 on Flipkart, Amazon and Samsung Shop.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with a 1.4-inch display. It offers Super AMOLED always-on screens with a Resolution of 360 x 360 pixels with Corning’s Gorilla Glass DX+ for protection. The screen comes with rotating touch bezel to allow users to interact with the smartwatch’s UI by moving their fingers in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. It is powered by the Tizen platform and is compatible with devices running Android 5.0 or higher or iOS 9.0 or above.
The watch comes with a 340mAh battery. It is powered by the Exynos 9110 Processor paired with up to 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance. It has various Sensors including a heart-rate sensor, ECG sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
The smartwatch can track more than 39 workouts, and seven of them are automatically activated including running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine and dynamic workouts. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is an IP68 rated and MIL-STD 810G rated Water-resistant and dustproof device.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4G
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4G comes with LTE connectivity option. With this, the smartwatch can be used as a standalone device that will have the ability to make calls, messages, use maps and music. The company claims that it can deliver up to 80 hours of battery life.
The 46mm version features a 1.3-inch Circular Super AMOLED Always-On display with Corning Gorilla DX+, while the 42mm models come with a 1.2-inch screen. Further, the 46mm model features a 22mm interchangeable straps, while 42mm features 20mm interchangeable straps. The Galaxy Watch LTE has its circular, rotating dial that is present in previous generation smartwatches as well. The watch features Always-On Display as well. Both the models are powered by company’s in-house Exynos 9110 dual-core processor clocked at 1.15GHz.
The 46mm model is backed by a 472mAh battery, while the smaller sibling features 270mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch is backed by a 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage for the LTE version, while the Bluetooth option features 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
The smartwatch runs on Wearable OS 4.0 based on Tizen. The smartwatch comes with 3G/LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, A-GPS/Glonass, Accelerometer, Gyro, Barometer, HRM and Ambient Light.
The watch comes with a new stress management tracker, which detects high levels of stress and offer breathing exercises to its users. Then there is a sleep tracker that can monitor all level of sleep including REM cycles. The watch also comes with 21 new indoor exercises.
