The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is the company’s upcoming flagship tablet which was expected to be launched either in late August or early September after the Galaxy Note 9 announcement. But now the tablet is said to launch next month at Samsung’s Unpacked event in NewYork alongside Galaxy Note 9.
A report of TechnoBuffalo via GSMArena says that Galaxy Tab S4 will debut next month. The report also says that Samsung is less likely to launch Galaxy Watch at the event.
A video of Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has also surfaced on Weibo, which shows the tablet in Black and White colour options. The 10 sec video shows that the Galaxy Tab S4 front as well as the back panel. It will feature a single rear camera with an LED flash at the back. There is also AKG branding on the bottom.
Recently, full specifications of the tablet leaked online. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will feature a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED Display with 2560×1600 Pixel resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
For the camera, the Galaxy Tab S4 will boast a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will be backed up by a 7,300mAh battery. For connectivity, the tablet will feature a USB 3.1 port, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac.
The tablet will not be featuring any fingerprint sensor. Instead, it will have an iris scanner which will be used to control access to the device. It will feature AKG-tuned audio and will come with support for DeX. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will launch in Black and Grey colour options.
An earlier report revealed that it will be the first DeX-supported device to have a dual-monitor feature. This lets you use the tablet screen as a second display when docked. However, the report further says that it is not clear yet how exactly dual monitor mode will work with a tablet.
