A new budget Android smartphone of Samsung, called Samsung Galaxy Star Pro, is now available in India for Rs 6,989. The dual SIM handset comes with a 1 GHz single core processor and Android Jelly Bean operating system. The handset has not yet been officially listed or unveiled by Samsung but online seller Homeshop18 is selling the device at the given price.
The Samsung Galaxy Star Pro smartphone features a 4 inch LCD display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution with a capacitive multi touch input system. The 1 GHz processor is based on ARM Cortex A5 architecture and is complimented with a 512 MB of RAM.
The smartphone comes with a 4 GB of onboard storage available to the users while another 32 GB data can be added via a micro SDHC card. For imaging there is a 2 megapixel fixed focus camera in its rear that is capable for recording videos as well. However, the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro doesn’t have a front camera. The device is powered with a 1500 mAh battery which should be good for 1-2 days.
