Samsung Galaxy S8 to come with 6GB RAM, 256GB storage and AI voice assistant

The official launch is nowhere close yet there are rumours every week about the device.

Samsung’s smartphones are one of the most leaked of the bunch and same is the case with the Galaxy S8. The official launch is nowhere close yet there are rumours every week about the device. The latest one of them all comes from a report from TechTastic which claims that the device will come with 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Now, there maybe other variants as well but one of them could be with the above-mentioned specs. If not, we expect the South Korean giant to include a card slot for memory expansion.

Previously, Samsung has strongly been rumoured to be working on an Artificial Intelligence based voice assistant. Interestingly, the assistant will come with both male and female voices with a separate name for each – Bixby for male and Kestra for the female voice. This leak has taken the limelight, thanks to a leaked EU patent which described Bixby and Kestra as “Computer software for enabling hands-free use of a mobile phone through voice recognition” and “Computer software used to process voice commands.”

Not only this, the new S8 is also expected to sport a Dual-Camera set up. The cameras are expected to be a 12 and 13-megapixel with no information about their functionality.

Other rumoured specifications include two screen size variants namely 5.7 inches and 6.2 inches with either or resolution. The screen type will remain to be Super AMOLED and some rumours suggest that Samsung might go for a bezel-less display in one of the variants. On the inside, it is likely to be powered by an Exynos 8895 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor combined with 6GB RAM (as mentioned above). It is also likely to sport 3.5mm jack and a USB port.
