Samsung has finally introduced its latest flagship devices, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, and now the company has unveiled the US and UK pricing and availability of the smartphones. The flagship devices will be available for pre-order starting from March 30 in the US, while the users can book the device starting from today in different European countries. The phone is set to hit shelves on April 21.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold colour options. Users can pre-order the devices from AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Sprint, Straight Talk Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon Wireless in the US.
In addition, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available at all Best Buy stores as well as BestBuy.com, ShopSamsung app, Target and Walmart.
All the major carriers in the US and UK has already announced the pricing of both the devices. Starting with US carrier Verizon, the company is offering the Galaxy S8 for $720 (approx. Rs 46753) or $30 per month for 24 months, while the S8+ goes for $840 (approx. Rs 54545) or $35 for 24 months. Verizon also stated that those who are opting for pre-orders will get the Gear VR with controller and Oculus content pack. A limited edition premium bundle which adds a 256GB Memory card and Bluetooth headphones by AKG will also be available for $99.
AT&T will sell the Galaxy S8 for a slightly higher price at $750 (approx. Rs 48701) with an option to get it for $25 per month for 30 months or $31.25 per month for 24 months. The Plus variant is priced for $850 (approx. Rs 55194) with an option to get it for $28.34 per month for 30 months or $35.42 for 24 months. AT&T is offering a free Gear VR with Controller and Oculus content pack as well.
In the UK, pre-orders will end on April 19 at many operators and retailers, including Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile, EE, and Tesco Mobile. The Galaxy S8 is priced at £689 (approx Rs 55,694) in the UK, while the Galaxy S8+ £779 (approx Rs 62,696) and will be available only in Midnight Black and Orchid Grey at the starting and the Arctic Silver version will be introduced later.
