Samsung Galaxy S8 accessories and pricing details leaked ahead of official launch

Samsung is already reported to include AKG earphones in the retail package and DeX station, which will basically allow the smartphones to connect t an external monitor (something similar to what we have seen in Microsoft Continuum dock) for EUR 149.99 (approx. Rs 10,588).

Samsung Galaxy S8 is all set to launch on March 29 and as we are heading towards the launch, rumours mills are working non-stop to give even the minute details about the upcoming devices. Though we already know that the company will be launching Samsung S8 and S8 Plus, it is now time to look at the official accessories, the company plans to introduce during the launch event.

According to a recent leak, the Korean giant will be introducing a plethora of accessories ranging from earphones to power bank to covers and so on, exclusively for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Samsung is already reported to include AKG earphones in the retail package and DeX station, which will basically allow the smartphones to connect t an external monitor (something similar to what we have seen in Microsoft Continuum dock) for EUR 149.99 (approx. Rs 10,588).

The brand will also introduce Samsung Clearview Standing Cover for EUR 59.99 (approx. Rs 10,588), an View Cover for EUR 59.99 (approx. Rs 4,234), Samsung Keyboard Cover priced at EUR 59.99 (approx. Rs 4,234), Samsung Alcantara Cover for EUR 44.99 (approx. Rs 3,528), Samsung Silicone Cover for EUR 29.99 (approx. Rs 2,117), Samsung Clear Cover for EUR 19.99 (approx. Rs 1,411), Samsung 2-Pieces Cover priced at EUR 19.99 (approx. Rs 1,411), Samsung Screen Protector for EUR 12.99 (approx. Rs 917), Samsung Wireless Charger Convertible for EUR 79.99 Euro (approx. Rs 5,646) and lastly, Samsung Battery Pack (Fast Charging) will come with a price tag of EUR 69.99 (approx. Rs 4,940).

However, the leaked information about the above-stated accessories seems to be backed by a couple of screenshots taken from various European retailers and the company might change the prices of the accessories at the time of launch.

Recollecting other recent leaks, the upcoming flagship from Samsung might capture slow-motion videos at up to 1000 frames per second. Samsung is expected to place a DRAM chip physically into the camera sensor which basically gives the ability to capture better slow-motion videos, improved shutter speeds and multi-image noise reduction artefacts. On the other hand, Samsung is also expected to bump up the iris scanner game by adding a 3.7-megapixel RGB sensor, which is approximately half the size of the front-facing camera (8-megapixel). Another report hints a possible 6GB variant for Chinese smartphone market.

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S8 and probably the Galaxy S8 Plus as well, at its Unpacked event on March 29 in New York. The event kicks off at 11 AM EDT (9:30 PM IST).
