The upcoming rugged version of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone, the Galaxy S7 Active is expected to launch on June 10. Now before the launch, the device’s specifications have been leaked online by Evan Blass on VentureBeat. Recently, Evan Blass, who is popular for his leaks, had tweeted an image which he said is that of the S7 Active. Earlier, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active with model no SM-G891A was also spotted on GFXBench Benchmarking website.
Evan Blass claims to have the Galaxy S7 Active full spec sheet and has revealed that the Galaxy S7 Active design is similar to its predecessor Galaxy S6 active.
As per the new leak, Galaxy S7 Active is said to come with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 resolution). It will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, micro SD expansion, 4000 mAh battery and will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active will come with the 12 mega Pixel rear camera as compared to 16 mega pixel rear camera found on the Galaxy S6 Active. It will come with 5 mega pixel front facing camera. The device would be water and dust-resistant and will have IP68 certification. The Galaxy S7 Active will reportedly be 9.9 mm thick, compared to the 8.6 mm measurement of the S6 Active and weighs 185 grams.
