Samsung’s the Galaxy S5, which is set to be unveiled later today, has been spotted at the launch ceremony of Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo smartwatches. SamMobile posted an image of a smartphone and claimed that it is that of Galaxy S5.
As per the image, the Galaxy S5 comes in colour options – Gold, Black, White and Blue. The presence of gold colour is not surprising since Samsung announced Galaxy S4 Gold edition last year.
As per rumors, the Galaxy S5 will feature an Ultra HD Resolution supporting touchscreen display. Moreover, it is said to have the next generation octa-core Exynos 6 series mobile processor. Apart from that, expect big buzz words such as Ultra HD/4K video recording and playback support in the smartphone.
Like Note 3, the Samsung Galaxy S5 may offer 3 GB RAM that would definitely run the TouchWiz user interface quite smoothly. There is very little information about the new TouchWiz user interface but we believe it will be heavily “inspired†from the new Android 4.4 KitKat UI design language. Samsung is likely to offer the Galaxy S5 in 32 GB and 64 GB on-board storage options but there is no mention of micro SD card support. Also, reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a 3200 mAh battery.
There is no information about its price either but considering its specification, we expect the Galaxy S5 to be introduced for about Rs 50,000.
