Samsung has revised the price of its Galaxy S4 Zoom Android smartphone to Rs 30,590 from Rs 29,900 at which it was launched in India. The minor price increase can be a resultant of the depreciation of value of Rupee against Dollar.
However, perhaps to compensate the increase in price, Samsung is now offering a free LCD display or lens replacement with the Galaxy S4 Zoom. This covers accidental physical damage limited to one replacement/repair only. Along with that the company is also offering a free complimentary lens/flip cover for the buyers along with each Galaxy S4 Zoom which is said to be worth Rs 2,099.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom digital camera features a 16 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and a dual-core mobile processor. The display has been constructed using the Corning Gorilla Glassy 3 technology for thinner and stronger display with resistance from scratches. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz mobile processor with 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB on-board storage. Also there is a Memory card slot to accommodate up to 64 GB micro SD card.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom features a 10x Optical Zoom and packs a Xenon Flash on the body along with Optical Image Stabilizer promising good still shots even if you shake the camera while taking one.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom offers superior camera functionality along with smartphone like function with calling as well as complete mobile phone functions, which were missing from the earlier Samsung Galaxy Camera GC100.
