Samsung India is all set to launch the Galaxy Note II, the successor of Galaxy Note, today in India at an event in Hyderabad. Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Note II smartphone-tablet hybrid at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked Event in IFA Berlin last month.
Samsung Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED Display and packs a quad-core mobile processor inside. By default, this smartphone-tablet hybrid will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Note II has a 0.2-inch more display real-estate compared to its predecessor and also packs more powerful hardware along with battery power.
Its 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display supports 1280×720 pixel Resolution natively. Compared to that, Galaxy Note had a 5.3-inch HD Super Amoled touchscreen display with native 1280×800 pixel resolution.
The difference lies in the Pixel density – while the Note’s display has 285 ppi with first generation Corning Gorilla Glass strength, the new Note II has 267 ppi pixel density bearing display with slimmer, second generation Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Galaxy Note II also comes with S Pen stylus that can be used optimally with the Premium Suite software pack of apps. The tablet has an 8 Megapixel camera at the back with auto-focus and LED Flash. In the front, the Galaxy Note II features 1.9 megapixel camera for video calling.
Samsung India had started the pre-booking process for the Galaxy Note II last week for just Rs 5,000 and those who pre-booked it will get a desktop dock worth Rs 2,399 for free.
