Samsung is reportedly working on a 7 inch tablet, according to the GLBenchmark website which carried details of the device with the test results and few details. Purportedly named as the Samsung GT-N5100, the tablet is said to have a 7-inch display tablet and 3G cellular network capabilities, and could be called as Note 7.
Samsung has already introduced the Galaxy Note smartphone-tablet hybrid and Galaxy Note10.1 tablet in the market. Perhaps looking at the heavy popularity of the affordable Nexus 7 tablet, Samsung is now working on this new tab. Codenamed as Kona, it carries the NXXXX series model name like the Galaxy Note series of products.
If comes to the market, the tablet will definitely be a competitor of the Asus Google Nexus 7. The Galaxy Note 7 GT-5100 tablet will feature a 7-inch display with 1280×800 Pixel resolution natively which is similar to that of the Nexus 7 tablet. Inside the Galaxy Note 7 tablet reportedly rests a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 mobile processor. This tablet will use the Mali-400MP graphics chip to power the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update running on it.
We expect Samsung to unveil the 7-inch Galaxy Note tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in January 2013.
