Samsung Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders date leaked, CEO spotted using Note 9

Samsung will have a big-time advantage over Apple as Apple generally holds an event to unveil its device including newest iPhones in early September and launches them in late September.

The South Korean giant Samsung will be announcing Galaxy Note 9 at an Unpacked 2018 event on August 9 at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York. Recently, the price of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 leaked online. And now, reportedly, the Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders will start in mid-August, days after the official announcement of the phone.

SamMobile reports that the Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders will open in mid-August. The Note 9 will be announced a couple of weeks earlier than its predecessor – Galaxy Note 8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was unveiled on August 23, 2017, but was launched on September 15. It is however not revealed in the report whether pre-orders will be limited to the South Korean market only or the rest of the global markets as well.

If indeed this report comes out to be true, Samsung will have a big-time advantage over Apple as Apple generally holds an event to unveil its device including newest iPhones in early September and launches them in late September.

Meanwhile, a live image of the Galaxy Note 9 has also been surfaced. Samsung mobile division CEO DungJin Koh has been spotted holding a device in his hands which is said to be none other than the Galaxy Note 9.

At a media appearance in China, Samsung CEO was seen using a Note device with a stylus. The image of the suspected Galaxy Note 9 was picked up by a Weibo user @eldhovarghese8 who might have attended this event. The image shows the rear side of the image which appears to be different than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 as it features a fingerprint sensor below the dual camera setup.

As per the earlier report, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will carry a price tag of PLN 4,299 which is approx. 79,370 for the base variant with 6GB of and 128GB of internal storage. This price hints that the pricing will start at the same price as its predecessor – Galaxy Note 8.

As per an earlier report, the S Pen will include Bluetooth support and it can be used to control long-range self-timer for the camera and control music playback. Recently major specs and features of the upcoming flagship smartphone surfaced online.

The Galaxy Note 9 will have a similar curved Super AMOLED-backed Infinity Display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio like Galaxy Note 8. The low-end variant will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There will be an 8GB RAM variant which will come with two storage options of 256GB and 512GB. All the variants will support expandable memory via cards. The phone will include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC (US and South Korean market) and in-house Exynos 9810 processor for other global markets including India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be backed up by a 4000 battery which will be bigger than the 3300mAh battery seen on Galaxy Note 8. Reportedly, it will offer 23-25 hours of video playback and the battery will last for up to two days on normal use. The flagship will be featuring S Pen with some major improvements including support for Bluetooth connectivity.
