Samsung had announced the launch of Galaxy Note 7 in India at Rs 59,900 earlier this month. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes in, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx colours. As per the Samsung website shipment for Black Onyx will start from 8th September while shipments for Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium variants will start from 2nd September as promised earlier. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes with a metal body and a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED Display with curved edges on both right and left hand side. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is water and dust resistant and has got IP68 certification for the same.
The Galaxy Note 7 has been launched in India with octa-core Exynos 8890 (quad 2.3GHz + quad 1.6GHz) processor that runs this Android Marshmallow based phone with the help of 4GB RAM. The smartphone has TouchWiz UI on top and a 3500 mAh battery with Fast charging technology mode. It has a USB Type C port.
The Galaxy Note 7 has 64 GB of internal storage and you can use a micro SD card of up to 256 GB in its expandable storage slot. Note that it has a hybrid dual SIM slot which means if you use a micro SD card, you have to forgo the SIM2. It has a fingerprint sensor as well as an Iris scanner. Besides, the phablet offers Samsung’s Knox security app. Apart from this, the device also features barometer, gyro, geomagnetic, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
The smartphone boasts a 12-megapixel Autofocus rear camera that comes with dual pixel technology, LED flash, PDAF, optical image stabilisation, and f/1.7 aperture. A 5-megapixel front facing camera with f/1.7 Aperture is there in the Note 7 for selfies and video calling. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS, NFC and USB type C. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 measures 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and it weighs 169 grams.
