The much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is otherwise known as Note 800 will be launched in India this Friday itself, reliable sources told The Mobile Indian. This information has been further consolidated from the fact that Samsung has issued media invitation for Friday. Though the company has not revealed the name of device they plan to launch at the event.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the successor of Galaxy Note smartphone, is already available for prebooking from Samsung India store.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a massive 10 inch display and a Smart stylus for keeping things exciting. Like the previous Galaxy Note, the Note 10.1 has SIM calling functionality and thus works as a smartphone as well. Besides, Note 10.1 has WiFi connectivity too.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a quad core Processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz and has 2 GB RAM. It comes in 16/32 GB internal memory variants but users can increase the storage space by another 32 GB via a micro SD card. The device also features the latest Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that offers maximum performance optimisation and compatibility.
Its 10.1 inch display, which is also its highlight feature, comes with the all new PLS (Plane to Line Switching) technology. This technology allows the display to show better colours, contrast and even wider screen viewing angles than the existing IPS technology based screens. The Resolution of the display has been kept quite similar to that of other 10 inch variants at 1280 x 800 pixels.
The tablet features a 5 Megapixel rear camera along with a 1.9 megapixel front camera. This tablet will also bring the much appreciated Smart Stay feature of the Galaxy S III smartphone. Besides, GPS with GLONASS and A-GPS for more accurate location based services has also been included in the device.

Along with that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a brand new innovation from Samsung which is known as the Multiscreen feature. With this feature, users can effortlessly run two different applications side-by-side on the tablet. Users can view web pages or videos, or launch other applications while writing or sketching ideas with the S Pen on the other half of the screen and there will be no need to toggle back and forth between apps.
The tablet also features S Note, a tool that lets users combine notes or sketches together with web content, images and other digital media into their own personalised storyboards, something that features on the original Galaxy Note device as well.
Also included in the tablet is Adobe Photoshop Touch which will use the tablet’s functionality to create masterpieces on the go. This App is normally available for $9.99 or Rs 500 (approximately). Further, since Photoshop Touch is optimised for S Pen, users are able to control brush size and opacity by just adjusting the pressure of the pen on the screen.
