Samsung is almost ready to introduce the Galaxy Mega 2 smartphone any time in coming weeks. Chinese Telecom Certification Body has given certification to the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 and posted images of the phone along with its specifications. Samsung is holding a special UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 on September 3 and this smartphone can be expected to be announced around that time.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 features a 5.98-inch display with 720p (HD) resolution and not full HD resolution. The Mega 2 is powered by a quad-core 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 mobile chipset, tagged with 2 GB RAM. Samsung has integrated 8 GB on-board storage and a memory card slot in the phone too. At the rear, the Mega 2 will have a 13 megapixel camera with LED Flash apart from a front facing camera.
The Galaxy Mega 2 will run Android 4.4 KitKat update out of the box with the TouchWiz Essence UI on top of it. There was no information on the battery listed.
