Samsung has today launched its new phone under M series – the Galaxy M40 in India. The phone comes in a single variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and it is priced at Rs 19,990. Samsung Galaxy M40 is the fourth device in the M-series after Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 will be available on Amazon India and Samsung website from 18 June 2019. The phone comes in Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue colours.
Samsung Galaxy M40 features a 6.3-inch full HD+ Infinity-O display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 400 nits brightness, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 91% screen to body ratio and a pixel density of 409ppi. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 612GPU. The phone has 6GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is also Samsung’s first model to have a “Screen Sound” technology that will produce audio without an earpiece.
For the camera, the Samsung Galaxy M40 features a triple camera setup with 32-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 Aperture and an 8-megapixel Wide-Angle lens with 123-degree viewing angle and f/2.2 aperture. Further, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front housed inside the notch. The phone also features a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy M40 runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with One UI on top and it is backed up by a 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Connectivity features for the phone include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.
