Samsung will be launching Galaxy M40 in India on June 11, the company sources have informed The Mobile Indian. The Samsung Galaxy M40 will be the fourth device in the M-series after Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. The phone has also been listed on Amazon India confirming its availability on the e-commerce website.
As per an earlier report, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it will feature a triple camera system. Reportedly, the phone will be having a punch-hole in the display to house the front camera.
A tweet from Ishan Agarwal has revealed that the Galaxy M40 will not have an earpiece. The sound would rather come from the display. As per his tweet, Galaxy M40 will also ditch the 3.5mm Headphone jack, which means that it will come with a Type-C to 3.5mm adapter. The phone will be launched in Black, Blue, and Orange colours. An earlier tweet from the same tipster, the Galaxy M40 will be launched in India alongside the Galaxy A10s.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the Galaxy M40 will be priced under Rs 25,000. Samsung Galaxy M40 will be powered by Snapdragon 6150 SoC, which is the codename of the Snapdragon 675 processor with Adreno 612 GPU. The phone will have a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will come with Android 9 Pie out of the box, possibly based on Samsung’s own One UI software.
The phone will feature a 128GB of internal storage and it is highly likely to come with other variants as well. It is also rumored to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery and it will be equipped with a Super AMOLED display.
