Samsung Galaxy J8 to be available in India on June 28

Samsung Galaxy J8 will come in Blue, Black and Gold colour variants and will be available on Flipkart, Paytm and Samsung Stores across India. Samsung has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer cash back to the customers. If you buy the Galaxy J8 through ICICI Bank credit and debit cards, users will be able to get cashback of up to Rs 1,500.

Samsung launched Galaxy J8 in India last month Rs 18,990. At that time, the company did not reveal the availability date of the phone. Samsung has now announced the availability details of the Galaxy J8 on its official Twitter handle.

Samsung Mobile India tweet reads “Give the ‘Infinity Touch’ to your picture’s background with the #BackgroundBlurShape of the new 16+5MP #DualRearCamera on #GalaxyJ8. Only 3 days to go for the big launch. Stay tuned”. This is for the first time in India that the Galaxy J8 will be available for purchase.

The Galaxy J8 comes with 6-inch Super with a resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels and will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will come installed with a dual (16MP f/1.7 + 5MP f/1.9 aperture) rear cameras for capturing the depth of field pictures and a 16-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies. The device will equip a larger 3,500mAh battery which is estimated to last you a day on moderate use.

It runs on 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s Experience UI on top. The fingerprint scanner is housed at the back below the camera modules and is rectangular in shape like the one found on the Galaxy S9 lineup. In terms of connectivity, Galaxy J8 will feature VoLTE support, v4.2, WiFi and and will still retain the traditional jack.
