Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) now official

Both the smartphones are listed on the company's official Chinese website.

After many leaks and rumors, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) have finally gone official in China.

Both the smartphones are now listed on the company’s official Chinese website but there is no information about their prices yet. But as per Phoneradar, Galaxy J5 (2016) is to cost 1398 Yuan (approximately Rs 14,300) and the Galaxy J7 (2016) is to be sold at 1898 Yuan ( approximately Rs 19,500).

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core 64 bit processor and 2 GB RAM. The J5 (2016) offers 16GB of internal storage and 64 GB expandable memory. The phone runs on 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and is backed by a 3100 battery.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front. Besides this, the smartphone offers 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, NFC and a port. The phone measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 159 grams. It comes in White, Gold and Pink Gold colours.

On the other hand, The Galaxy J7 2016 feature a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD AMOLED display. It is powered by 1.6 GHz octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 128GB via a card slot. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and packs in a 3,300mAh battery.

Like Galaxy J5 (2016) , Galaxy J7 (2016) also has a 13 rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. This dual SIM smartphone also offers 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi, NFC 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port. The J7 measures 151.7 × 75.9 × 7.8 mm and weights 170 grams. The Galaxy J7 (2016) will also come with same color options as of Galaxy J5 (2016) i.e White, Gold and Pink Gold colors.

As of now, there is no information on when Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and J7 (2016) will be made available outside China. Notably, Samsung announced to launch a new smartphone in India on Thursday (March 31). Some websites expect Samsung to launch the Galaxy J3 (2016) model this Thursday but who knows, Samung may launch the Galaxy J5 (2016) or the J7 (2016) models instead.
