Samsung today announced the launch of Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones in India for Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. Prebooking for the phones will start at 4 PM today while sale will start from July 23. Samsung has also announced that early birds will get to buy a flip cover worth Rs 999 for just Rs 199. Note that these will be available through open sale like most phones and not a flash sale. However, it will be available on Flipkart only, atleast initially.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 measures 142 x 73 x 8.5 mm and weighs 149 grams with a 5 inch HD display. The Android 5.1 Lollipop based smartphone has the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB of Internal Memory and a 128 GB micro SD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 has a 13 megapixel rear auto focus camera with an LED flash light. In the front there is an LED flash light too which helps a 5 megapixel selfie camera. This handset has a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery and offers dual SIM, LTE (4G), WiFi, WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 A2DP, NFC, FM radio with RDS, micro USB port, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS and Beidou.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 has a bigger 5.5 inch touchscreen but with the same high definition Resolution as the J5. This Android 5.1 based smartphone has the better Snapdragon 615 octa core processor but comes with 1.5 GB RAM as the Galaxy J5. It also offers 16 GB of internal memory, 128 GB micro SD card slot, 13 megapixel rear auto focus camera with LED flash light, and a 5 megapixel front camera with LED flash.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 also has the same set of connectivity features as the J5 including dual SIM, 4G, WiFi, WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 A2DP, NFC, FM radio with RDS, micro USB port, and GPS with A-GPS and Glonass and Beidou.
The Galaxy J7 has a bigger 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery and it measures 152.2 x 79.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs 169 grams.
