Two new Samsung smartphones, Galaxy J5 (2016) and J7 (2016), have been spotted on the Chinese certification agency, TENAA. The listing on TENAA not only has the images of the phones but it has also revealed some major features of the phones. The phones are successor of Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 which were launched last year for Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.
As per the listing, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) with model no SM-J5108, has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core 64 bit processor and 2 GB RAM. The J5 (2016) offers 16GB of internal storage and 64 GB expandable memory. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and not the latest Marshmallow.
Besides, as per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a 13-megapixel Autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front. Besides this, the smartphone offers 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and a Micro USB port. The dimensions of the phone measures 145.7 x 72.3 x 7.9 mm weighs around 155.4 grams and comes in White, Gold and Pink Gold color options.
On the other hand, The Galaxy J7 2016 is listed in two variants with model SM-J7108 and model SM-J7109. The SM-J7108 comes with 1.6 GHz octa-core Chipset while SM-J7109 comes with 1.2 GHz octa-core chipset. Both feature a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 128GB via a microSD card slot. They run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
Like Galaxy J5 (2016) , Galaxy J7 (2016) also offers a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port. The phone dimensions measure 151.7 × 75.9 × 7.6 mm and weights 165 grams. The J7108 will be available in gold and white colour options while the J7109 will come in black and gold colours.
