Samsung may soon announce its new smartphone, dubbed as Galaxy J3, which will be the successor of Galaxy J2 which was launch in India earlier this year at Rs 8,940. The Galaxy J3 has been spotted on the GFX Benchmark and Geekbench with the model number SM-J3109.
According to the benchmark listing, Samsung Galaxy J3 would feature 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixel) IPS display with at least 5 finger gesture support. It will be powered with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor paired with 1GB of RAM and Qualcomm Adreno 306 GPU. The device will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
On the storage front, the Samsung Galaxy J3 is expected to have an 8GB of internal memory which will be further expandable via a microSD card. The Galaxy J3 is also rumored to sport as 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. The camera will support FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) video recording. Besides this smartphone will have Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, NFC and Accelerometer and Proximity sensors.
