Samsung is all set to launch Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) in India this month. Recently, it was spotted on the Indian import-export website Zauba as well with a price tag of Rs 6,757.
Sources familiar with the development have said to The Mobile Indian, “Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) is expected to be launched in the country next week”
Galaxy J2(2016) which is going to be a budget smartphone has been gaining a lot of traction in the recent weeks, perhaps because of Smart Glow notification ring around the camera on its back. This notifications ring is expected to light up in different colours to signal incoming or missed calls or messages. And that is not all, It will also notify about battery status, heartbeat rate, weather information and even light up when you are taking a selfie or use the rear camera.
As per the leaked information, Galaxy J2 (2016), will feature a 4.7 inch 720p display screen and will run on a 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor. The handset will have latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and has 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM. The smartphone will ship with a 1,500mAh battery. It is expected to have 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera.

Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) will succeed Samsung Galaxy J2, which was launched in India last year for Rs 8,940. J2 has a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, Quad-core 1.3 GHz, Mali-T720GPU, Android Lollipop operating system, 1 GB RAM, micro SD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It offers dual SIM with dual standby feature. On the connectivity front, the smartphone has 4G, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio, and a Micro USB port. The phone measures 136.5 x 69 x 8.4 mm dimensions and weighs 129 grams.
