Samsung has plans to expand every sub family of its smartphone brands at every price bracket. The budget-segment focused Samsung Galaxy Core series has got a new member – Galaxy Core mini 4G. Currently launched for the China region, the new Samsung Galaxy Core mini 4G brings interesting set of features such as quad-core mobile processor and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. Samsung has not shared the price of the Galaxy Core mini 4G.
Interesting bit is the phone comes with 4G LTE network connectivity. However, we are not certain if the same would be introduced for Indian markets as well for we might see the HSPA+ version of the same handset.
The new Galaxy Core mini measures 10.6 mm thick and weighs 136 grams. The Core mini offers a 4.3-inch touchscreen display with 480×800 pixel resolution. This smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile Chipset coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. By default, it offers 8 GB on-board storage and offers memory slot to add up to 64 GB micro SD card.
Galaxy Core mini offers 5 Megapixel camera at the back without flash and there is no secondary camera in the front. The listing does not mention about battery capacity.
As of now, there is no word on when Samsung plans to introduced the Galaxy Core mini in India and other Asian markets.
