Samsung Galaxy Book will be up for pre-order from April 21

The sale of Galaxy Book will kick start from May 21 through offline stores and black color model will be exclusive to Best Buy store, while others retailers will get the standard silver model.

Samsung Galaxy Book, which was announced during MWC 2017, will be now up for pre-order starting April 21st in the United States. Price starts from $630 (approximately Rs 40,705) for the 10.6-inch variant and $1,130 (approximately Rs 73,012) for the 12-inch WiFi variant, while for variant one has to shell out $1,300 (approximately Rs 83,996). The sale of Galaxy Book will kick start from May 21 through offline stores in the US. The black colour model will be exclusive to Best Buy store, while others retailers will get the standard silver model.

As far as specifications are concerned, Samsung Galaxy Book comes in two models: 10.6-inch and 12-inch, with both running on Windows 10. The 10.6-inch variant sports a TFT display with a screen of 1920 x 1280, while the 12-inch model comes with a 12-inch FHD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels.

On the hardware front, the 12-inch is equipped with a 7th Generation Intel Core i5 and the 10.6-inch with an Intel Core m3 processor. The smaller variant comes loaded with 4GB of RAM and is available in two storage options of 64GB and 128GB of eMMC storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via card slot. The 12-inch comes in two RAM and storage variant: 4GB RAM + 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera front, 10.6-inch sport a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, while the 12-inch is equipped with 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. On the battery front, the 10.6-inch sports 30.4W battery which lasts up to 10 hours, while the 12-inch model sports a 39.04W battery. Both the models come with pogo keyboard cover and S Pen in the box.

S Pen

The new S Pen from Samsung comes with some interesting functions. To start with, the S Pen has a smaller 0.7mm tip and increased pressure sensitivity. The S Pen also includes convenient features such as Screen Off Memo to quickly jot down notes, PDF Annotation for easy editing and professional-level drawing with Advanced Drawing Tool.
