Samsung has unveiled its new smartphone in ‘Galaxy A’ series, the Samsung Galaxy A9, at an event held in China yesterday. The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes in White, Gold and Pink colors variants. As of now there is no word on the pricing and availability of the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by a Octa Core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs). Along with that it has 3GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Samsung Galaxy A9 flaunts an 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS, Æ’/1.9 Aperture and an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up-to 128GB via microSD card. The Galaxy A9 is packed with 4000mAh non-removable battery with QuickCharge technology.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Dual SIM (nano+nano), 4G, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, ANT+ and Micro USB. The Samsung Galaxy A9 also features fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the home button.
