Samsung Galaxy A9, Galaxy A7 get a price cut in India

The company has slashed the prices of the Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A7 in the country.

Samsung has reportedly reduced the price of its two Galaxy smartphones in India. The company has slashed the prices of the Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A7 in the country.

A Mumbai-based retailer, Mahesh Telecom, has revealed the new market operating price (MOP) of the said devices. Starting with the Galaxy A9, the smartphone was launched in India at a price tag of Rs 36,990 for the 6GB variant and Rs 39,990 for the 8GB RAM option. Now, after the price cut, the phone will be available at a price tag of Rs 33,990 for the 6GB RAM option, while the 8GB RAM variant is now priced at Rs 36,990. This reflects a price cut of Rs 3,000 on both the variants.

Coming to the Galaxy A7, the smartphone was launched in India at a price tag of Rs 23,990 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the 6GB + 128GB model was priced at Rs 28,990. The smartphone will now be available at a reduced price of Rs 18,990 for the 4GB RAM and Rs 22,990 for the 6GB RAM option. This reflects a price cut of Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch Full Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixels resolution. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone has 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has a triple rear camera of 24-megapixel with flash, f/1.7 aperture, 8-megapixel with ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. The front facing camera will feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 and LED flash. It features a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Exynos 7885 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.
