Samsung has announced yet another smartphone in its A-series. The new Samsung Galaxy A8 has been launched in China but there is no information about its price or availability yet.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with a metal body and at just 5.9 mm thickness, it is the slimmest phone in Samsung’s stable. It measures 158 x 76.8 x 5.9 mm and weighs 151 grams. The smartphone has a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED Display with full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution.
The Galaxy A8 has a 1.5 GHz, 64 bit Snapdragon octa core processor as well as huge 2 GB RAM. There is decent storage in the phone as well – 16/32 GB internal memory and a micro SD card slot (expected to have 128 GB support).
The Samsung Galaxy A8 offers a 16 megapixel rear camera, an LED flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has optical image stabilisation, f/1.9 aperture, and a wide-angle lens (120 degrees). This smartphone comes installed with Android 5.0 and has the customised TouchWiz interface.
The smartphone is powered up by a 3050 mAh battery and its home button acts as a fingerprint sensor too. For connectivity, the A8 offers dual SIM, 4G, Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, and GPS.
